Motor Show News vol.3-2 A waiting line to test drive the electric vehicles On the east side of the Event Hall, there is an exhibition of electric vehicles (EVs) by the Japan Electric Vehicle Association. EVs are finally entering into practical use after much research. There are 22 electric vehicles, from the "Isuzu Elf Resort-Type EV" to power-assist bicycles. All have the advantage of no emissions, reduced vibration and noise and efficient energy consumption. To give an opportunity to experience these advantages, an EVs Trial Ride Area has been created adjacent to the west side of the North Hall beside the Shuttle Bus Terminal. The 240 meter course will be open from 10:00 a.m. with rides on both two and four wheeled vehicles, alternating hourly. Those who had waited in line found the EVs were better than they imagined due to their silent running.
